Amrit Kaur Bains is a multidisciplinary artist, certified meditation teacher, sound healing facilitator, and educator who travels between Canada and Bali, Indonesia. Currently based in Langley, British Columbia, she is a first-generation Punjabi Canadian woman whose creative journey began at the age of four in her mother’s art studio.
Rooted in cultural heritage and a deep connection to nature, Amrit’s work is inspired by traditional Indian folk art, personal storytelling, and the ancestral wisdom passed down through her maternal lineage. Her creative practice is heart-centred and ever-evolving—an expression of both inner reflection and spiritual connection.
In addition to sharing her art with an engaged online community, Amrit teaches in the classroom and offers sound baths and meditation sessions guided by the teachings of her Guru in Bali. Through each of her offerings, she holds space for healing, creativity, and connection.
“To me, art is more than just expression—it’s a way of being. It weaves itself into every corner of our lives, even in the quiet, ordinary moments we often overlook. Art connects us—to the world around us, to ourselves, and to one another. For me, it’s a deeply spiritual practice; a lens through which I experience life, reflect on its beauty, and find meaning. This perspective shapes not only my creative process but also my teaching philosophy and who I am at my core. Over time, I’ve come to understand the profound intersection between art and spirituality in my own journey. Through my work, I hope to invite others into that space—to feel, to reflect, and to explore the powerful stories that live within and around us.”
